Join Mitzvah Needles to learn and to put your talents to good causes! All abilities welcome!
Mitzvah Needles members have been hard at work!
Mitzvah Needles is knitting baby hats for a Caring Committee project at Bet Torah and for Northern Westchester Hospital Center.
They are also working on adult hats for the Emergency Shelter and are happy to share that we were able to donate 39 hats to the "Hats for Israeli Soldiers" program, with the kind intercession of Ellen Sobel who took them to Israel.
We are now working on blankets to be donated to children throughout Westchester County with Project Linus. Come join us on Wednesdays at 10 am in the Bet Torah Library.
All recipient groups have strict protocols so if you would like to knit along with us at home, please contact Debra Bloomgarden at mrsbee1@verizon.net for details.
Note: First time novices through to experienced knitters are welcome!!
In addition, we continue to make rectangles for WarmUpAmerica, and blankets for the NICU and for the PTSD treatment program at the VA, looking towards being able to donate perhaps later this year.
Please contact Debra Bloomgarden at mrsbee1@verizon.net with any questions or for more information.
