Through our Youth Groups, our young people (4th-12th grade) become leaders, meet Jewish teens in other communities, and experience the joys of Judaism beyond the classroom and home.

Our active youth programs, Club 45 (4th & 5th Grade) and Kadima (6th & 7th Grade), engage middle-school aged children in social opportunities outside of the classroom.

Club 45

Club 45 is Bet Torah’s youngest youth group for 4th and 5th graders.

Approximately every other month, tweens are invited to attend fun events with Bet Torah friends in a purely fun and social environment. Past events have included fun at Bet Torah, as well as fencing at Westchester Fencing Academy and bowling, racing, and arcade at Grand Prix.

As the goal of Club 45 is to help our pre-teens deepen and expand their friendships within the Bet Torah community, events are open only to Bet Torah congregants. Tweens do not need to be enrolled in the Kulanu Learning Program.

Kadima

Kadima is Conservative Judaism's youth group for 6th-8th graders.

At Bet Torah, events are usually for 6th and 7th graders, since 8th graders are in TLC. Bet Torah Kadima events are open to all Jewish teens, not just Bet Torah congregants.

usy

As part of TLC, our teens in 8th-12th grade can participate in USY, the international youth movement of Conservative congregations.

We are actively involved in our USY Divison - Emek, and Region - METNY, and are proud to send many teens on USY Summer Experience each year with the support of the Christopher B. Gordon Memorial Fund.

Bet Torah is proud to offer a financial incentive to rising 6th-12th graders attending METNY Encampment.

USCJ & METNY

Kadima and USY are the international youth group of Conservative Judaism (USCJ).

At Bet Torah, our DIVISION is "Emek". If you have questions about Emek events, please email emek@metnyusy.org

metny

The Metropolitan New York Region (METNY) of USCJ gives Jewish teens in our area the opportunity to engage in various Jewish and social activities while forming friendships that last a lifetime.

METNY strives to inspire meaningful encounters with Judaism and the Jewish people. It offers middle and high school students the opportunity to engage in various Jewish and social activities while forming friendships that last a lifetime.

Through a variety of programs throughout the year, METNY USY strives to inspire meaningful encounters with Judaism and the Jewish people. We believe that engagement, study, and action lead to personal fulfillment and growth. METNY USY aims to give teens opportunities to make significant contributions to their synagogues, communities, society, and the Jewish people.

Our teens enjoy numerous conventions, a week-long summer encampment, dances, and special programs. In METNY USY there are many leadership opportunities that teens can take advantage of such as board positions, co-chairing events, and leading programs throughout the community. In addition, our teens participate in unforgettable summer programs across North America, Israel, and Europe, as well as the annual International Convention.
