Shabbat Programs For Young Families
Shabbat Shaboom
Shabbat Shaboom (formerly Shir Shabbat), a Saturday morning young family program for nursery school age students and their families begins at Bet Torah on the first Saturday of each month, October -June. This inter-active introduction to Shabbat songs, stories and prayers is held at from 9:30-10:30 at the synagogue. A kid-friendly Kiddush of refreshments will follow the program.
Throughout the 2024-2025 school year, the Shabbat Shaboom program will be held on the first Saturday of each month on the following dates: October 5, November 2, December 7, January 4, February 1, March 1, April 5, May 3 and June 7. Parents and children, ages infant through Grade 2, are cordially invited to join this specially designed warm and welcoming children’s program.
Sukkah Family Program
Join us on Tuesday, October 7, from 10:30-12:00 in the library for stories, songs and crafts to celebrate Sukkah. Kiddish lunch will be served. Please RSVP to nurseryschool@bettorah.org.
Shabbatini
A Friday evening Shabbatini Young Family Service and Dinner will be held at on Friday, November 15 and Friday, March 21 from 6:00-7:30pm followed by a dinner. All families are invited.
Havdalah in Pajamas
Other special children’s programs include the annual Havdalah in Pajamas, scheduled for January 25, from 6:30-7:30pm. Havdalah is the weekly end of the Jewish Sabbath. This special evening includes bedtime stories, songs, a family Havdalah service and a light dinner.
Family Day
On Sunday, May 31, from 11:00-1:00 we will be celebrating moms, dads, grandparents, caregivers and all families! Join us for crafts, songs, and activities. Brunch will be served.
