AFYA Foundation - June 11
AFYA Foundation collects unused medical supplies and equipment and ships them to under resourced and compromised health systems around the world.
Join us at Bet Torah to sort and organize supplies to be sent to areas in need on Sunday, June 11:

Midnight Run
Thursday, Nov 9th 5:30p to Friday, Nov 10th 12:00aMidnight Run is Bet Torah's way of helping the homeless in Manhattan. We travel by bus at night into the city to deliver much needed food and clothing to those who are less fortunate. The group of teens going to NYC will be chaperoned by parent volunteers and Bet Torah staff. There are also volunteer opportunities at Bet Torah for those who cannot make the trip into NYC.
Lunch and Learn - Abortion: Perspectives from Jewish Tradition
Shabbat, Nov 18th 12:45p to 1:45pLast year's Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade has intensified the focus on issues surrounding abortion. Judaism has much to teach on this topic. When does life begin? How do we define when it ends? Who gets to decide? This session will present texts from Jewish tradition that can help inform our own views. Facilitated by Rabbi Lisa Sacks.
