Leadership Circle is open to any teen who wants to help shape Bet Torah Teen life, build leadership skills, and bring new ideas to life. Whether you're just starting to get involved or looking to deepen your commitment, this program offers a space to collaborate with staff and peers, develop your voice, and take ownership of the teen experience.
Through six Sunday gatherings across the year, plus small group sessions as needed, teens take the lead in visioning, designing, planning, executing, and evaluating fun and meaningful programs for the Bet Torah community. With mentorship from Lead Teen Educator Robin Wald and Assistant Director of Youth and Education Hannah Salzberg, participants build real project leadership skills around events like Midnight Run, Youth Shabbat, Emergency Shelter Partnership, the Purim Carnival, and teen social programming. Teens can also choose to chair events, lead on social media, or take initiative in any aspect of teen programming that excites them. Projects can range from social action initiatives to go-cart nights and everything in between.
Dates and times of training/planning sessions will take place on six Sunday afternoons, and small group gatherings on Tuesday evenings, on Zoom and in-person, on an as-needed basis or determined collectively by the cohort. Teens will choose and own their roles on various projects. No fee.
